ENGAGED!
Well, as many of you know, it finally happened - I proposed to Nicole! It was a glorious day at Flemington, and with 4 bottles of Veuve ready to go, I got down on one knee...and completely forgot the little speech I had been rehearsing in my head over the last few days. Lucky I was holding out a felt box with a ring in it, so she has a fair idea of what was going on. Friends & family were on hand to help us drink the French bubbles (and the good Tasmanian Janz), so was an awesome day. Special thanks to Nicole Gilbert, with whom without a "yes" wouldn't have made the day anywhere near as fun. |
