questions you’ve totally been wondering
all things vino
Ah, Choosing the best wine is like trying to catch a unicorn or pick your favourite child; itโs an impossible task ๐ฆ๐ท
While our Coonawarra vineyards proudly produce top-notch red wines like Shiraz and Cabernet, our whites, including the delicate Rose, elegant Pinot Gris, and beloved Moscato, have their own devoted following.
As for me, let’s say I have a thing for Chardonnays, whether they come with a sparkle or not. But remember, the best wine really is just the one you enjoy.
You’ll find tasting notes on each of the product pages that outline what to expect if you’d like a bit more assistance, just email or give us a call. We’d be happy to help you.
While our estate-grown Coonawarra grapes proudly hold the certified organic badge, resulting in our exceptional Cabernets and Shiraz wines, our family of partner vineyards do not have the official certification yet.
We work together closely, ensuring that the grapes and vineyards we collaborate with align with our passion for organics and sustainability. It’s a collective effort towards creating wines that reflect our commitment to excellence. ๐ค๐ท
So, while not every bottle carries the organic certification, rest assured that we pour our hearts into every aspect of the winemaking process.
Absolutely! We believe in making wines that cater to all, including our fantastic vegan friends. ๐ฑ๐ท
While wine itself doesn’t contain animal products, some fining processes traditionally involve substances like eggs and fish-derived casein. But fear not, we’ve taken a different approach!
We use pad filters to ensure our wines are free from animal-based products, allowing you to savour our wines with a clear conscience.
Residual sugar refers to the natural sugars from grapes that remain in wine after fermentation is complete. The amount of residual sugar will vary in different types of wine depending on the varietal and style.
When we say a wine has low levels of residual sugar, it means the sugar content is lower than average, typically resulting in a drier, less sweet wine.
Measured in grams per litre, these low sugar levels enhance the crispness and refreshment quality of the wine and make it more versatile for pairing with a variety of foods, as it does not overwhelm the palate with sweetness.
