Introducing the Coonawarra Roadshow
We are thrilled to be hitting the road again as a part of the Coonawarra Roadshow. It’s the perfect chance to taste the very best of what our famous Terra Rossa has to offer as the Coonawarra comes together.

What is the Coonawarra Roadshow?
The Roadshow is a series of events held during the month of August at various locations throughout Australia. During the night, you’ll not only get to see and taste our wines but also many other wines and producers from our stunning Coonawarra region.
For some of you, the Coonawarra can be quite tricky to get to, given its location almost halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. But that’s the beauty of coming along to the Coonawarra Roadshow: We bring the wines directly to you.
What makes the Coonawarra so special?
Let’s not beat around the bush. It’s the unique Terra Rossa soil which is a rich, red-brown earth overlaying limestone—that makes the Coonawarra wine region truly remarkable. This well-draining soil provides an ideal environment for viticulture, contributing to the distinctive character of the region’s wines.
The Coonawarra wine region has a cool to moderate maritime climate, which is influenced by the nearby Southern Ocean. This ensures a long growing season which allows grapes to develop complex flavours and maintain a balanced acidity, which is crucial for crafting high-quality wines. The consistency in climate and soil conditions results in reliable grape quality year after year, making Coonawarra wines highly dependable and sought-after
.Beyond its natural attributes, the Coonawarra boasts a rich winemaking tradition. there have been generations of vintners who have honed their craft here, blending time-honoured techniques with modern innovations. This dedication to quality and sustainability ensures that Coonawarra continues to produce some of the finest wines in the world, securing its place as a jewel in Australia’s wine crown.
What we do best
It’s no secret that Coonawarra is Australia’s ‘other red centre’, with our region’s specialty being the Cabernet Sauvignon. This variety benefits immensely from these ideal growing conditions. A Coonawarra Cabernet is celebrated for its rich, structured profiles, often exhibiting flavours of blackcurrant, mint, and eucalyptus. These wines are not only distinctive but also age beautifully, gaining complexity over time.
The Coonawarra region also excels in the production of premium Shiraz and, surprisingly to some, cool-climate Riesling. You’ll also find many of the Coonawarra wineries producing varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc because of how well they grow in the area.
