“Friends are angels that lift you up when your wings have forgotten how to fly. Many people walk through your life, but true friends leave footprints in your heart.” So raise your glass - here’s to friends.
Mount Gambier is even cooler than Malborough in NZ, so the long growing period allows the grapes to develop an abundance of flavours without losing the crisp freshness of true cool-climate grapes.
Single vineyard. Crisp apple and gooseberry notes, perfect for natural oysters, fresh salmon sashimi or chicken salad.Download tasting notes PDF - 2018 vintage Download tasting notes PDF - 2016 vintage

Quickview Our Wine, White WinesWhen wine is aged in fine oak barrels, a portion of it evaporates - winemakers call this the ‘angel’s share’. It was on this sentiment the Koonara angel was born. Mount Gambier is the coolest region in mainland Australia. This produces rich lemon and lime Chardonnay, and luscious Pinot Noir. This coupled with the minerality from the rocky flint under just 10cm of soil in our Mount Gambier vineyard, helps create a complexity of flavours and long finish. Food match: Coconut crusted lobster medallions with chilli and lime zest on a bed of pear, rocket and mango. Download tasting notes PDF$24.95
Quickview Our Wine, White WinesThe Marquise (Mahr-keez) is a French noblewoman ranking above a countess, and – like this wine – shows elegance, refinement, and sophistication. The grapes for this cool-climate Chardonnay are grown in Mount Gambier, the coolest mean maximum temperature average of any wine region in mainland Australia. Awards:

Quickview Monthly Wines, Our Wine, White WinesThree days a week our two little girls would stroll into the Cellar Door to say hello, and almost always they were holding flowers picked along the way. Alice’s flowers would proudly go to her Mum, while Lucy’s - with her arm out stretched proudly - went to me. “These are for you Dad,” she’d say. One day - when she is old enough to enjoy in moderation - the burst of floral flavours in this Moscato will be my flowers to her. Dru and Nicole Reschke. Great balance of sweetness and refreshing lime, Flowers for Lucy has low alcohol – making it easier to have a glass or two before or after dinner. Food match: Summer berry trifle and homemade icecream. Quickview Monthly Wines, Our Wine, White WinesNamed after our two beautiful daughters. Crisp pink lady apples, white peach and grapefruit zest. As it warms in the glass, hints of honey and peach flesh shine through. Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris are the same grape variety. Pinot Grigio is Italian, Pinot Gris is French. “Grigio” and “Gris” both meaning grey which is the hue present in colour of the grapes. Winemakers in Australia describe Gris as a late picked, more complex, wine with crisp acidity. Download tasting notes PDF – 2018 vintage Download tasting notes PDF – 2016 vintage$20.00
