Small batch and family made wines
We are proudly a small family owned winery based in Coonawarra. Our Coonawarra vineyards produce organically grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, which are planted on Coonawarra’s famous red terra rossa soil.
Just 90km down the road our Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Sparkling Chardonnay, Chardonnay, Rosé, Riesling, and Pinot Noir grapes are grown in Mount Gambier – ‘the coolest region in mainland Australia’. The long growing period allows these grapes to develop an abundance of flavours without losing their crisp freshness.A Certified Organic Vineyard since 2017
We grow our grapes chemical free and have done so for over 10 years. In 2017 we received certification from the Australian Certified Organic Standards for our Coonawarra Vineyard.
Finding new ways to reduce our impact on the land is very important to us. We grow selected flowers to attract ‘good bugs’ that eat our ‘bad bugs’. We also spend as much time focused on what’s under the ground – soil heath helps keep our vines strong, so pests and disease have less impact. Preservative Free Wine
Sulphur in wine is used as a preservative and helps kill unwanted yeasts, bacteria, and protects wine from oxidation. Too much sulphur in wine can give people allergies and headaches – that’s why all our wines are made with below organic levels of sulphur, less than 100ppm. Australian Food standards allow for a maximum of 250ppm in dry wine, and up to 300ppm for sweet wines.
No Residual Sugar in our Wines
There is no residual sugar in any of our red and white wines. They still taste sweet, showing perfect balance in our vineyards.
* The exception to this is in our Moscato, and just a touch in our Sparkling Shiraz. With these two exceptions, our wines are completely diet friendly; including Ketogenic.
All our wines are vegan friendly and gluten free.
