Our red wines are aged in the finest French Oak barrels – and are built for cellaring. Our Cabernet and Shiraz grapes are organically grown in Coonawarra, without chemicals. Our Pinot Noir is grown 30mins down the road in cool-climate Mount Gambier. All our red wines are vegan friendly and low in sulphur. They also have no residual sugar – with the exception of our Golden Orb Shiraz. Barrelling our red wine allows us to age our Cabernet and Shiraz wines – most red wine will get worse over the years, ours will get better!

Oak Aged Red Wine
Our red wines are all aged in premium French Oak barrels. Some cheaper wines in the market will use oak substitutes (chips, planks, dominos etc) but we only use the best, so you can expect a consistent high quality product.

Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz red wines are built to age (or can be drunk now). This ageing potential makes our $25 Angel’s Peak Coonawarra Shiraz and Wanderlust Cabernet Sauvignon.
Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon almost unique at these prices. These wines will mature and get better over the next 10 years.
Avoid the red wine headache with our low sulphur red wines.
Sulphur in red wine is used as a preservative and helps kill unwanted yeasts, bacteria, and protects the wine from oxidation. Too much sulphur in wine can give people allergies and headaches – that’s why all our wines are made with below organic levels of sulphur, less than 100ppm. Australian Food standards allow for a maximum of 250ppm in dry wine, and up to 300ppm for sweet wines.
No residual sugar.
There is no residual sugar in any of our red wines, with the exception of our Golden Orb Sparkling Shiraz.

Our Coonawarra grapes are chemical free. We are certified to Australian Organic Standards and no pesticides have been used in our Coonawarra vineyards for over 10 years.
Our Organic Coonawarra Vineyard
With yields of 2 tonnes or less (the average for Coonawarra is around 3.5 – 4 tonnes), our grapes are smaller that some wineries, meaning there is more skin per litre of produced wine. Because both the colour and flavour of the wine comes from the grape skin, we’re able to produce complex flavours with our small but mighty grapes.
