No expense has been spared to make the wine possible: these grapes were grown with only organic additions in the vineyard (for the past 10 years) and minimal intervention. We have only applied 4 organic sprays for the season to the vineyard and have aged the wine for 18 months in French Oak. The fruit, ferrous and free flowing, serves as a bean of blackcurrant, blueberry, graphite olive and potpourri leaf across the finish. The tannins are shapely and moreish, svelte for cabernet and daubed in sage. The oak rises across the finish the auguring for a long future ahead, yet there is nothing obtuse.

Grizzled and tough like Clint Eastwood, this certified organic old vineyard produces a tiny 1 tonne per acre. Aged in 100% Reserve French Hogshead (300L) barrels for 2 years - 40% new - this wine needs decanting to show it’s plumage. Building nutrient density in the vines through careful analysis of the minerals in the leaf and soil, then getting the perfect mineral ratios through fertigation has seen this wine increase its complexity, and ability to age. Plus it’s just delicious!
