Est. 1883, the Cape Banks Lighthouse is a significant orange monument 30 mins drive from our vineyards in Mount Gambier. Cool growing conditions, rocky mineraly soils, and low-yielding vines have helped create a complex wine – indeed a beacon of a Chardonnay.
2016 is, in our opinion, our best vintage yet. Organically grown grapes are starting to show the beautiful fruit spectrum of cool climate fruit.
50% new French oak Hogshead barrels for 9 months, going through malo-latic (2nd ferment) changing the malo acids into lactic acid, the same as in milk and butter, giving it a creamy mouth feel.
50% select yeast ferment – single ferment only keeping the crisp lime, pink lady apple and mineral notes. This is ‘left on lees’ (the dead yeast after ferment) and is stirred to increase flavours and complexity.
Named after our two beautiful daughters.
Crisp pink lady apples, white peach and grapefruit zest. As it warms in the glass, hints of honey and peach flesh shine through.
Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris are the same grape variety. Pinot Grigio is Italian, Pinot Gris is French. “Grigio” and “Gris” both meaning grey which is the hue present in colour of the grapes. Winemakers in Australia describe Gris as a late picked, more complex, wine with crisp acidity.

Three days a week our two little girls would stroll into the Cellar Door to say hello, and almost always they were holding flowers picked along the way. Alice’s flowers would proudly go to her Mum, while Lucy’s - with her arm out stretched proudly - went to me. “These are for you Dad,” she’d say.
One day - when she is old enough to enjoy in moderation - the burst of floral flavours in this Moscato will be my flowers to her. Dru and Nicole Reschke.
Great balance of sweetness and refreshing lime, Flowers for Lucy has low alcohol – making it easier to have a glass or two before or after dinner.

Ambriel is the angel of communication and guides us to truth and clarity.
No expense has been spared to make the best wine possible: these grapes were grown with only organic additions in the vineyard (for the past ten years), and minimal intervention, with only 4 organic sprays for the season.
A tiny 1 tonne per acre was grown, and aged in 100% new fine grain French Grand Reserve Hogshead (300 litre) barrels for 26 months.
A dense, deep mocha and blackberry wine, with velvety tannins. The colour is still a deep red with purple hues, so will hold colour well for the next 20 years.
