Here at Koonara Wines, we just love hosting events that bring people together. Throughout the year, you’ll find us everywhere from our legendary Summer and Winter Fiestas in Mount Gambier to the Good Food & Wine Shows where we show off our Coonawarra beauties to the big smoke.
One of our biggest events is our Platinum Marquee at the Dunkeld Races – because watching horses run is even more fun with a glass of Koonara wine in hand.
Then there’s our cellar door experiences during Cellar Dwellers and Cabernet Celebrations, where we run special tastings and events that are anything but ordinary.

FEBRUARY: Cosi’s Choir Mount Gambier – SOLD OUT
We’re thrilled to have partnered with South Aussie with Cosi for this incredible Ladies’ Night at The Globe Hotel in Mount Gambier.
Over 450 South East folks snapped up tickets to this epic singalong party, proving that the people of regional SA know how to have a good time. While we wish we could’ve squeezed everyone in, we’re absolutely stoked to be part of this unforgettable night.
Koonara wines will be flowing throughout the evening, so you can sip on your favourite drops while belting out the classics!
Channel 7’s South Aussie With Cosi will be filming the event, so keep your eyes peeled on their social media to catch all the action.
february: coonawarra fringe festival
Adelaide Fringe is coming to Coonawarra! Over two spectacular weekends, experience theatre, comedy, live music and cabaret right here in wine country.
From VIP wine tastings with a twist and barrel-room French cabaret, to side-splitting comedy clubs and a five-star children’s bubble show, this year’s program is bursting with flavour. Enjoy a long lunch among the vines featuring local food and winemakers, hosted by one of Australia’s top comedians. Lounge on the lawns at sunset with a glass in hand, laughter all around, and let the region’s best cellar doors and some of Australia’s finest performers entertain you from day to night.

Last year we made our debut at Fool’s Paradise during Adelaide Fringe, and this year we’re back for another round of circus, cabaret, comedy and Koonara wines!
Located in the heart of the CBD at Tarntanyangga (Victoria Square), Fool’s Paradise returns bigger and bolder for 2026 with four unique performance spaces. Koonara wines will be available throughout the festival, so you can enjoy your favourite drops while the artists work their magic.

We’re thrilled to be back as a partner for the Mount Gambier Gold Cup, now returning to its traditional May date!
Join us on course on Friday, 22nd May 2026 as we pour Koonara wines throughout this long-standing racing event. It’s the showpiece of the Mount Gambier Racing Club’s season.

JULY: Adelaide Cellar Door Fest
Back by popular demand, Cellar Door Fest Winter Edit brings winery vibes to the heart of Adelaide, 11 & 12 July!
Returning to Adelaide Convention Centre, this smaller, boutique take on our annual summer festival will be jam-packed with SA’s hottest food, wines and spirits, plus a stellar line-up of local musicians, making it the ultimate winter warmer.
With three sessions offered across two days, We’d love to see you join us for this fantastic event/
JULY: Pop, Pour & Savour – Wine & Gourmet Popcorn Pairings
Discover a deliciously unexpected pairing at our cellar door this July! We’re popping (see what we did there) three of our premium aged Koonara wines together with gourmet popcorn creations from our friends at Cornucopia. Experience how our carefully crafted wines bring out the sweet, salty and spiced notes of these delightful treats.

AUGUST: Coonawarra Roadshow
Taste the best of Coonawarra with producers pouring their finest drops in a city near you. Meet the makers, taste the wines, and discover why Coonawarra wines are among the best in the world!
The 2025 event series will showcase over 100 wines in four capital cities and regional hubs over three weeks in August.
OCTOBER: Cabernet or Caber-NOT Blind Tasting Challenge
As part of Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations, every weekend during October we’re bringing you a wine challenge that’ll put your palate to the ultimate test!
Think you know your Cabernet from your Shiraz? Your 2020 from your 2015? Time to put your tastebuds to the test! We’re serving up four mystery reds – but only one is a Koonara Cabernet. Will you nail it, or will it be a case of Caber-not today?
Cost: $10 per person

OCTOBER: Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show
Join us in Brisbane for three days of good food, good wine and good times.
Watch top chefs and your favourite food heroes live on stage as they cook up a storm and meet over 300 producers to sip, sample, and shop their produce.
Don’t miss Australia’s tastiest day out. Tickets are on sale now, and we’d love for you to drop on by and say hello.

NOVEMBER: bet 365 William Thomson Dunkeld Cup
Join us in our Platinum Marquee for a fabulous day of racing, elegance and fun at the 2025 bet 365 William Thomson Dunkeld Cup.
Our marquee is located in a premium trackside location with the stunning backdrop of Mount Abrupt. Your ticket will includes a 5-hour beverage package of premium wines and beer, as well as entry into the racecourse, with gourmet food and live entertainment.

JANUARY: Warrnambool Summer Markets
Kicking off from the last Saturday in December (yes, it’s different from other years because of the way Christmas falls) and then running every Friday through January, the Warrnambool Summer Markets are the perfect way to ease into your summer adventures.
Dates: Satruday 27th December, Friday 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd January
Warrnambool locals, Simon and Sarah will be there pouring your favourites. These markets are a wonderful mix of fabulous stalls, delicious foods, wine, and often live music. Basically, everything we love about summer is in one spot.
